Harvest Festival
Come enjoy fun-filled atmosphere at the annual Harvest Festival held at the Grain Elevator site on Saturday, September 24 from 9:30 - 2:30.
We are proud to celebrate our agricultural heritage and rich agricultural resources with this annual celebration. A great way to bring the Grain Elevator & Archives 2011 season to a close!
- Vintage farm machinery will be on display.
- Learn how a threshing machine works.
- Journey back in time thanks to the 1958 Wooden Grain Elevator Museum and Spruce Grove Archives.
- Visit The Farmers Market that offers local produce, crafts, jams and jellies, baked goods, wooden items, quilting, jewellery and so much more! Completely indoor market.
- Corn Harvest by the Spruce Grove Beavers.
- Climb aboard the Hayride pulled by an old tractor. Required age: anyone that feels like a kid or is a kid. The Hayride is free.
- Live entertainment by Marissa Rea & Karen Claypool, our rising Alberta talents.
- Enjoy our famous roast beef on a bun, corn on a cob and pickle on a stick. (Cash only) All the proceeds from your purchase will go towards renovation fund.
- Watch James Mackay painting a mural on our restored old Spruce Grove water tower that was rescued from the farmers field.
