Scarecrow Competition







Competition Guidelines

This competition is open to elementary classes.

Theme     agriculture, specifically beef or barley industry.
Materials     Construction materials are up to the discretion of the teacher, however, we do ask that some straw be used - for scarecrow authenticity. Other materials might include pumpkins, or other fall vegetables, old clothing,
Size -           child size
Number
-    each class is asked to submit one entry (if more are submitted, they will be treated as a 'group entry' but only eligible for one prize)
Title
-           please provide an appropriate title / name for the entry.
Identification
- do not attach any school name / personal names on the entry. Do supply information about the entry on a separate card, which will be displayed with the scarecrow at the competition of the competition. Stories and poems  about the character are welcome!
Submission date - entries must be brought to the elevator between 8:30 - 10 AM, Saturday, September 25th. If an earlier time(date)  is required, please call or email sgagsociety@hotlinkwireless.com  to arrange this. Submit registrations prior to Sept. 23rd, to ensure eligibility in the competition.
Judging           Saturday, September 25th  A decision will be made by 2 PM.
WINNERS        One prize will be awarded to a winning classroom in each category.
