The Site

Come and tour our site. We are open Monday-Friday 10-5, and Saturday 9-4.

The Grain Elevator

Built in 1958, the Spruce Grove Grain Elevator was in operation until 1995 (when it was due for demolition). The Society then stepped in and prevented the demolition. It is now being maintained as a Historically Designated Museum. It is the last remaining wooden Grain Elevator on the CN Rail line west of Edmonton. As grain elevators continue to disappear we hope to keep this one maintained as time goes on. Come see it and get a tour during any of our office hours. Visit the Grain Elevator Site at 120 Railway Avenue, Spruce Grove.

The Red Barn

The red barn was acquired by the Spruce Grove & District Agricultural Society in 2016. The plan for the barn is to not only maintain it but to clean it up and set it up to display many antiques. It will take time but be sure that it will be a future museum display open to the public. For now the barn is simply a nice sight to see. Come and see the red barn on our site!

If you want more history on the red barn make sure to read about it in our history section.

Water Tower

In 2010 the water tower was saved from demolition by Ag society volunteers who took it into ownership. The Spruce Grove & District Agricultural Society then took it upon themselves to restore and re-erect the tower. In 2011 the tower was cleaned, repaired, and re-erected in spruce grove on our very own site. As well we had the tower painted with a beautiful mural. As of current the Tower stands on our site as a display for the public. Come and see it and maybe read the plaque!

If you want more information on the water tower, including the history and refurbishment process make sure to read out history section.
