This event is all about kids. This year we will bring few new attractions: the Western Shoot out, carousel, easy strike and wacky mirror. The kids will enjoy pony rides, they can play with mini farm animals, choose their favourite movie character and have it faced painted, have fun with a balloon twisting artist, win prizes by competing in the egg whipping and cow milking contests, take part in old-fashioned kid’s games like gold digging, bean bag tossing and learn how the historic Grain Elevator operates. Take a memory line and visit The Spruce Grove Archive. Relax and listen to live entertainment by local musicians. Two of them participated at the Big Valley Jamboree.
Cost: This is our summer fundraiser Carnival Tickets range from $1-$4.
What to eat: Fresh corn on the cob, hamburgers, hot dogs will be served from Noon – 4 at the licensed concession.
A visit to the last wooden Grain Elevator Site, going west on HWY 16 A, is not only a visit to our heritage, but also a valuable lesson for the next generation about preserving our past to protect our future.
